Dans un laboratoire fantasmé, des créatures cyborg s’emploient à façonner le corps d’une chanteuse parfaite afin qu’une intelligence artificielle puisse en prendre le contrôle. Connectée à une symphonie de stimuli, la créature émerge lentement de son espacede gestation. Prenant au mot le “laboratoire opératique”, cette proposition explore la voix et la musique électronique expérimentale pour déconstruire les cadres classiques et proposer un nouveau type d’opéra. Nous sommes convié·es dans un monde où la tragédie et l’inconnu convergent en un destin, interrogeant ainsi les notions de création, d’identité et de nos liens avec autrui dans la quête de liberté.

In an otherworldly operatic laboratory, cyborg creatures work at crafting the body of a perfect singer for an Artificial Intelligence to take control of. Wired to a symphony of stimuli, the sentient creature faces a climactic awakening as she breaks free from the space she was gestating in. This literal operatic laboratory, which uses voice and experimental electronic music to deconstruct the classical frameworks and propose a new kind of opera, invites us into a world where tragedy and the unknown converge, unraveling the complexities of creation, identity and our our connections with others in regards to the pursuit of freedom.
